The Shrine Mosque is one of Springfield’s oldest event spaces. Prior to the development of the Juanita K Center for the Performing Arts and JQH Arena, this is where the top music events happened. Additionally, you could find the circus and other exciting visiting acts at the Shine.

Hammons Field is one of the best ‘small’ baseball parks in the U.S. Serving as home to both the Missouri State Bears and the Springfield Cardinals, this park was developed by the legendary John Q. Hammons. Today, the park hosts excellent events in addition to baseball games, it’s a great and affordable outing for the family.

JQH Arena was built to give the Missouri State Bears a shiny new home, upgrading from the Hammons Student Center. Today, you can catch both college and high school basketball, along with some of the best music events in Springfield at JQH. Capable of hosting over 11,000 people, this venue is the biggest in Springfield!

Jordan Valley Ice Park is one of the newer spaces on the list. Built around the time of the Jordan Valley Park renaissance, the Park now hosts the Missouri State Ice Bears. There are two NHL-size ice rinks and plenty of recreational activities put on by the Park.

Does Bass Pro really need an introduction?!? If you’re not familiar with the hunting and fishing behemoth, you may just be living under a rock. What started as a small bait shop has now grown into a seriously big business and Missouri landmark. Good for shopping or if you’ve never seen a moose the size of Arkansas.
